Primary responsibility is to administer, monitor and maintain the corporate switched network for all end users. Supports, monitors, tests and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to the WAN, LAN, assigned applications and servers. ? Oversees day-to-day operation of network, including the administration, monitoring and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN systems and Telecommunication systems. Administration, research, analysis, monitoring and troubleshooting of server or data network problems, user accounts and network shares. ? Receives calls for assistance from Quidel staff by phone, email or in person. Logs, resolves or distributes those calls to the appropriate IS staff. ? Provides secondary support for Windows Active Directory, and Mobile Device Management Server administration. ? Server administration and Telecommunications Support. ? Provides secondary support for day-to-day operations for backup systems and management of data storage needs. ? Administration of Internet filtering systems.
BS/BA in a computer related field or equivalent experience.? CCNA, A+, MCP, N+ desired.? 3+ years experience Routers, Switches & Firewalls? 2+ years experience Windows 95/98/NT/XP/7? 1+ years experience with Enterprise Level Backup Software.? 1+ years experience with Windows Active Directory? In depth knowledge of various LAN/WAN technologies to include: IPV4, IPV6, MPLS, TCP/IP, QoS, DNS, SMTP, VoIP? Extensive knowledge of URL Filtering and its associated technologies.? Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2003, 2008, 2012)? Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Workstation Operating Systems (95, 98, 2000, XP, 7)? Sound knowledge of Backup Technologies and Methodology.? In depth knowledge of LAN/WAN administration with Cisco equipment, to include Switches, Routers, and Firewalls.? Understanding of Change Management Controls and Processes.? Ability to conform to standard ticket entry processes regarding the problem management system.? Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and written.? Excellent organization and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail.? Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.? Strong analytical and problems solving skills.? Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
