Job Responsibilities
Champion network improvements related to expansion, capacity architecture improvements.
Lead troubleshooting efforts and work a solution to completion.
Ensure 99.99% uptime related to network connectivity.
Assist the IT team with ongoing projects related to networking and operational areas.
Manager disaster recovery connectivity needs.
Under direction, work as an extended resource with other IT members.
Maintain and administer a mixture of switches, routers, load balancers and storage devices.
Assist with maintaining disaster recovery needs and global connectivity.
Job Requirements
B.S in Computer Science or related industry experience or relevant certifications.
5-7+ years? experience working in a production environment managing critical network connectivity in a high-availability environment.
Experience working with switching and routing OS such as: Cisco, Juniper, Force10, HP, etc?
Experience with Fibre switches dedicated to block level storage environments.
Experience with DNS, NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, IPsec, 802.x, BGP, OSPF and other networking protocols.
Expert implementing and dealing with VLANs, virtualization networking, bonding and HA design and implementation.
Experience working in a 24x7 client/server operations environment and being on call as required.
Experience architecting ,designing and implementing medium size switching and routing environments.
Maintain and manager alerts, monitoring and metrics to ensure health of network and hot spots for trouble areas.
Secure and ensure network connectivity is using best practices to meet PCI compliancy and SLA levels.
Work with distributed platform network architecture.
Experience implementing VPN, MPLS, site-site connectivity architecture and solutions with internal and external networks.
Linux/Unix/Windows troubleshooting and administration experience.
Manage and troubleshoot wireless connectivity needs.
Assist with remote users accessing services through remote VPN clients.
Limited travel as required for data center work.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation and design diagrams.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across the organization and interact effectively at all levels of management and peers.
Desire to work in a fun, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Nice to Have
Previous experience in distributed multi-site production environment
Experience with CDN networks and network optimizations.
WAN acceleration experience.
Scripting experience for automated tasks.
Experience administering SAN (EMC) and NAS (Netapp)
Experience administering F5 BigIP LTM or similar load balancer
Knowledge of SSL certificate administration
Audit experience surrounding documentation, policies and procedures
