Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Bachelor of Science or equivalent work experience
4+ years of experience managing and maintaining both systems, hardware, and desktops in a primarily Windows environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills ? ability to effectively represent Information Systems in various internal and external meetings
Working with other team members to solve problems on a daily basis
Providing administration and maintenance of production servers running Windows Servers in a 24/7 environment
Providing desktop support as needed and on an ongoing basis
Comprehensive knowledge and support of VMWare or Microsoft virtualization technologies
Comprehensive knowledge and support of Microsoft Exchange, Lynch, and SharePoint Applications
Hands on experience configuring network switches via cli to support advance configurations
Familiarity with GAMP practices or similar risk-based compliance guidelines
Ability to manage several high-priority, fast-paced activities within required timelines
Ability to create a quality work in a timely fashion
Ability to manage people and processes to meet corporate objectives
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but seek appropriate involvement from senior management regarding complex issues beyond position scope
Experience with Documentum or OpenText Content Suite preferred, but not required
Selected candidate will be responsible for:
Establishing and maintaining networks, servers, and systems by designing, proactively managing, and troubleshooting network problems
Recommending new technologies and solutions to proactively support the corporate environment
Traveling to all corporate sites to provide scheduled network maintenance, address outstanding concerns, and aid with project implementations when appropriate
Performing network change request for changes to switches, routers, and firewalls.
Performing troubleshooting on all network technologies including switches, routers, wireless, ISP connections, and WAN connections. Solid grasp of OSPF and BGP routing technologies plus how to troubleshoot complex networking issues.
Applying latest critical and security patches to servers and appliances and upgrade server applications.
Monitoring, managing, and testing system backups.
Monitoring and analyzing server event logs with third party tools, triaging problems and informing appropriate departments/teams of issues and monitoring until resolution
Monitoring enterprise anti-virus console for all servers, reviewing anti-virus logs and reports for issues and resolve
Ensuring that all policies and procedures are met to ensure regulatory compliance and updating or creating procedures to address potential gaps
Participating in the selection, validation, implementation, and training of corporate and IT systems and other processes in collaboration with managers, and other departments, as needed.
Processing new hires, employee changes and separations including network and telephone account creations/modifications and coordination of equipment configuration and installation.
Maintaining personal awareness and proficiency in new Information Technology technologies and industry trends.
Contributing to timely and accurate communications with other parts of the organization regarding IT projects, timelines, and compliance
Providing quality review of documents, as necessary
Ability to travel as needed to perform maintenance to remote corporate locations
Other related responsibilities and duties, as required by business need and/or assigned by manager
