Axeda is looking for a high energy Network Engineer to manage the network engineering function and operational services for its SaaS hosting environment and infrastructure. Responsibilities will focus on the network management. Seven years of network experience required.Become a member of our challenging and rewarding team!
Responsibilities:
Design, install, and manage networks in a high volume SaaS environment
Assist in establishing processes and performing performance, capacity and configuration management of all network devices including firewalls, VPNs, IP switches, routers, and hardware based load balancers within multiple datacenters located globally.
Assist in the design and hands on implementation of fault tolerant, redundant networks that will achieve SLA goals monthly.
Assist in documentation and maintenance of network security policies
Proactively perform audits to confirm network security policy is being met including network based access controls.
Investigate all security reports and incidents.
Troubleshoot network and performance issues. Require response to escalations from operations team 24x7.
Maintain on-call pager support.
Document all network designs, as-built configurations, IP addressing strategy and maintenance.
Technical/Professional Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrated hands on experience designing, configuring and managing large, geographically diverse LAN/WAN networks in a SaaS/hosting environment.
Must have verifiable experience with LAN/WAN network technologies and equipment including Cisco/Juniper L2/L3 swithching/routing, OSPF/BGP, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SSL & IPSEC VPNs, hardware loadbalancers (F5, Citrix NS, Cisco ACE or A10), and firewalls (Cisco ASA 5540 or equivalent).
Proven ability to design and implement highly available networks with no single points of failure.
Required O/S skills: Linux
Familiar with ITIL and network engineering practices required to meet ISO 27001 certification.
Previous experience deploying and acting upon the results of an IDS/IPS and vulnerability scanning solution.
CCIE/CCDP/CCSP or equivalent network engineering knowledge required.
Proven network troubleshooting and configuration mgt skills including high proficiency with Wireshark, CatTools, etc.

Required Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
3+ years of experience working in a high volume, high-availability, multi-datacenter IP network.
Demonstrated experience as a Network Engineer in a SaaS business.
CCDP or equivalent knowledge
