Who We Want:

Bazaarvoice is searching for a highly skilled Networking Engineer who will report directly to the IT Manager.

The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure that our corporate voice and data network, which the business relies on, are maintained to the highest standard.



The Networking Engineer must have over 5 years of corporate IT experience, covering all aspects of voice and data networking, across multiple site deployments.



The role will carry the responsibility of the following systems, and as such will require solid hands on experience in:

Min. 5 years? experience with Cisco IOS and Cisco devices (Catalyst/ASR/Switches)
Strong working knowledge and hands on experience with IPv4 & IPv6, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, ARP, 802.1Q, 802.1QinQ, IPSec, SNMP and VLAN?s
SSL, IPSEC and web based VPN products
Cisco Radius and Windows Network Policy and Access Services
Expert working knowledge of the 7 layer OSI model and TCP/IP networking
Experience with network monitoring applications such as SolarWinds and Cacti
Expert experience configuring and maintaining Cisco Call Manager, Unity and Voice Gateways
In depth knowledge using both hardware and software firewalls (inc Cisco ASA)
Complex networking planning, design, integration, performance, and capacity management skills
Familiarity with WAN connectivity technologies and design (MPLS, Internet based VPN)
Ability to recommend, design and implement network security best practices to include IDS/IPS and penetration testing
Cloud networking concepts and design ability to include dynamic routing, failover, redundancy and the tunneling of networks to either load balance or provide redundancy of systems such as AWS

Other core skills which are required in the role are:

Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to escalate and/or work with 3rd party remote technical support resources
Ability to work under pressure
Documentation skills with the ability to follow procedures
Project management skills from start to end including the identification and justification of system needs
Manage ISP and vendor relations
Interpersonal skills coupled with excellent communication skills
Excellent troubleshooting skills with a persistent approach to resolution
