Job Summary - Network Engineer
The Network Engineer works as part of the Global Technical Support (GTS) team and reports to the Director of Infrastructure. This person will be responsible for all aspects of Corporate, Development, Quality Assurance and Production networks. This person should be highly motivated and have strong networking background.
Job Description:
Responsible for the entire network infrastructure: Production, Corporate, Development, Monitoring, and Collocation areas.
Lead the administration and monitoring for the entire - network infrastructure.
Manage vendor/provider relationships: equipment support contracts, ISP services, collocation services, etc.
Support design efforts of all network infrastructures within - Production, Corporate, and Development networks.
Lead technical projects in all infrastructure areas.
Resource planning for infrastructure related projects and administrative activities.
Evaluation of infrastructure technology for current and future applications.
Provide technical support for the entire network infrastructure.
Interact with business stakeholders providing technical consultation when needed.
Ability to quickly learn and evaluate relevant technologies.
On-call rotation participation
Job Requirements:
4+ years of recent experience in security and networking-related work including design, configurations, and implementation planning.
BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
Expert level knowledge of: TCP/IP protocols, IP addressing and IP network design, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Fiber, 802.11b/g Wireless LAN, 802.1Q, 802.1X,
Spanning -Tree protocol, VTP, Cisco QOS, Cisco Netflow, Cisco Switch Clustering, BGP, DNS, BIND, DHCP, SNMP, Syslog, TACACS+ and RADIUS, HSRP, VRRP, NSRP
IPSec VPN design and administration.

Cisco Catalyst Switch lines (including Catalyst and Nexus)
Cisco Firewall Services Modules
Cisco ASA Series Firewall / VPN
Cisco Aironet Wireless Access Points
Juniper SSL Appliances and Netscreen/SSG Firewalls
F5 BIG-IP LTM, GTM, and Enterprise Manger
Riverbed WAN Compression
Cisco Wireless Controllers a plus
SIEM Products a plus
Experience with Solarwinds, Fluke, and WiresharkTools a plus
Experience developing diagrams and models based on Visio
Good communication skills
Understanding of cloud technologies
Work in a team environment as well as independently
Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
