Tasks
This position, reporting to the Director of Network operations, is responsible for supporting all aspects of the networking environment, including Cisco routers and switches, Checkpoint firewalls, ASA VPNs, Cisco wireless controllers, WCS, Cisco wireless APs, Cisco UCS fabric devices, Cisco FoE devices, MPLS vendor configuration and maintenance.
Skills
Extensive, extensive, extensive troubleshooting experience
Excellent troubleshooting methodology, including deep diving into packet analysis
Enormous work ethic.. must be willing to do what it takes
Network instruments Observer experience or similar packet capturing / analysis ability
Experience with
Chassis Switches 4500 / 6500
28XX series routers
BGP
Spanning Tree
ASA firewalls and VPN
Application troubleshooting
QoS
Checkpoint firewalls
MDS Switches
Fault Tolerance, redundancy, failover and D/R
Datacenter management including wiring, racks, power, cooling and security
Cisco Wireless controllers and wireless access points
WCS
PKI / Certificates
DAP / Radius
DNS
Good communication skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
The Candidate should have
2 Years of experience in a helpdesk and server role
5 Years? experience in Cisco troubleshooting role
CCNP or better level of understanding Cisco Networking
