Network Engineer LightEdge Solutions
We are looking for an individual to work within our team of network engineers in the operations department to manage our wide area network. Duties will include on-going maintenance of network and datacenter infrastructure to ensure we maintain our defined service levels.
This individual will also assist in the strategic planning related to capacity management, and implementation of new policies and procedures with focus on continual improvement in service delivery. They will also assist customer support with resolution of customer incident and problem tickets escalated to network engineers.
Experience and Skills
Experience with configuration and management of the following equipment types:
Cisco 72xx/76xx routers, FWSM, ACE or other load balancing devices, ASA Firewalls. 29xx/3xxx series switches, Nexus or other Data Center switching.
Strong understanding and practical experience with technologies like MPLS, ATM, WDM, QoS, VoIP, IPsec VPN
Cisco certifications a plus; CCNP, CCIP, CCIE.
In-depth knowledge and daily management of routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP

The Client Architect position with LightEdge Solutions will be responsible for working with clients on projects and understanding the clients? needs. This will include configuring their CPE, designing their IP routing/switching, allocating IP address space, on-site equipment installation, trouble-shooting with carriers in regards to the circuit during turn-up, exchange configuration, VM creation, documenting the project and proper hand-off to the operations team for support. Training will be a major portion of their activities.
Responsible for installing most products. Including, but not limited to: Access, Firewall, configuring CPE, Hosted Exchange, Virtual Server, turn up T1/DSL circuits.
Works directly with clients on projects to identify clients? needs.
May perform on-site equipment installation.
Trouble-shoot with carriers and vendors.
Must possess basic wiring skills (Ethernet, Phone, T1)
Responsible for basic turn-ups of circuits
Windows 2003 and 2008 experience preferred
vSphere 4.1 experience preferred
Keeps an open line of communication with clients at all times during an open project to identify their needs and effectively deliver a solution.
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Effectively communicates project status to Project Managers and client.
Follows standards and procedures for configuration.
Completes all design documentation, including equipment configuration, quickly and completely following a project completion.
Follows through with proper check off and hand off documents for each product, with little or no kickbacks.
Ensures project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely manner.
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Training will be a major portion of their activities.
Experience and Skills:
1 ? 3 years? experience in a telecommunications/IT environment.
Basic trouble-shooting skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Must be analytical and detail oriented.
Able to communicate with all levels of personal within LightEdge as well as our clients.
