We are looking for experienced Network Engineers on the West Coast (San Jose, California) and the East Coast. For the East Coast, these positions can work remotely to support all of the East Coast region.
The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, presales, and proof of concept implementations of infrastructure projects whether its Unified Communications, Data Center, or Security. This requires someone with a multi-faceted skill set. You would be handling multiple simultaneous sales, and design, and installation projects within the Northwest Region. This position requires a technically astute individual with a personality to engage with customers, manufacturer partners, and internal sales and technical staff.
Additional responsibilities could include remote administration and problem resolution of customer networks. If so, you may act as a Level 3 Support Engineer providing ongoing consulting and maintenance for FusionStorm's Managed Services customers. Travel to support region based customer headquarters is estimated at 25-35.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Must have CCIE or JNCIE Certification OR comparable expertise
Provide technical information to assist with the sales cycle, quoting various manufacture Bill of Materials, with ability to assist post engineers on Install & Configurations & Professional Services
Must have Routing and Switching knowledge, including previous 6500 and Nexus, Firewall, VPN and Wireless experience most beneficial
Must have knowledge AND field experience of Routing and Switching knowledge, including previous experience with Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, or HP stackable switches or chassis based with respective service modules, VPN and Wireless.
Must have knowledge AND field experience of Unified Communications telephony application knowledge, from Cisco portfolio versions 4.x and above including Call Manager, Unity, UCCX, CCME & CUE, and PSTN Gateways
Experience with large scale MPLS or Unified Communications deployments a plus
Experience with firewall configurations whether Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, or Stonegate a plus
Minimum Technical Certification:
Cisco CCNP / CCVP / CCSP or Juniper JNCIS or equivalent experience; preference for CCIE or JNCIE
You must also have excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interact effectively with executives, engineers, sales people, vendors and peers. This is essential to the position.
Experience with architecture, design, and implementation of the following technologies: IP, ATM, Frame Relay, Gigabit Ethernet, VoIP, and Wireless-based technology.
Ability to design enterprise network routing architectures using protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP and static routes.
Strong ability to troubleshoot complex multi-vendor network issues in the LAN and WAN networks.
Knowledge of Quality of Service, IPSec, Multicast and load balancing techniques are also essential.
Willing to learn new technologies whether self driven, web based or instructor led
Must also be able to work occasional weekends and on after-hours projects.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
5+ Years experience in IT Architecture.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Must have strong work ethic, strive to satisfy customers.
Possess ability to operate independently and timely with minor supervision.
Must be a strong technical lead on projects with ability to mentor others.
