Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs in support of one or more functional areas such as materials, marketing, accounting, or human resources. Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems. At higher job levels, may contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.
oBachelor?s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience, or Characteristics
o6 years of working in IT environment supporting a Windows Domain, WANs, LANs, or SANS, and network administration.
oCertified MCSE, MCSM, CCNA, or Linux Certified preferred.
o5-7 Years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator
oAbility to investigate and solve complex problems
oAbility to quickly diagnose and isolate hardware/software issues
oExcellent oral and written communications skills
oGood project management skills
oWorks well in a team environment/regarded as a ?team player?
Functions and Responsibilities (?in addition to other duties as assigned)
1.Specific abilities in the following areas:
a.Manage all routers and switches
b.Perform network protocols analysis
c.Support Telecommunications (Local/Long Distance voice, T-1, data) Infrastructure
d.Install and manage IP Telephony
e.Install and manage all Storage Systems and Storage Area Networks
f.Install and manage HP/UX and Linux
g.Implement Computer Security (IDS, Firewall, etc.) policies and procedures for company
Physical and Mental Requirements
Job involves considerable physical exertion such as regular climbing of ladders, lifting heavy objects (up to 80 pounds) on a highly frequent basis, and/or assuming awkward positions for periods of time.
