Responsibilities:
Architecture Design and Documentation
Implementation of new technologies to solve business issues and requirements.
Performance Tuning and Optimization
Install, Upgrade and Maintain Multivendor Networking environment.
Participate in IT strategic planning and budget preparation
Tracks industry trends, best practices and new technologies.
Execute on projects per plan of record / commitment to deliverables.
Qualifications:
Excellent Written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels using metrics and data.
Strong multi-tasking and analytical/troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of a wide variety network solutions, standards and protocols WAN Acceleration, Voice/Video over IP, Cloud Services
Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP and various Internet Protocols DNS, NAT, IPSec, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, SSL, SNMP, NFS, IPv4, IPv6, Digital Certificates, Web Security architecture.
Comprehensive knowledge of L2 technologies-VLANs/VLAN tagging, VTP, Spanning Tree, Etherchannel, portchannel, 40Gigabit/10Gigabit switched networks
Comprehensive knowledge of L3 technologies-IP Sub-netting, IP routing, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, HSRP, VRF, MPLS.
Comprehensive knowledge of WAN technologies, T1, DSL, DS3, MPLS, VPN, WAN Optimization
VoIP Cisco Call Manager or similar, SIP, H323, PRI, Corporate Cell Phone Account Management
Demonstrated HA data center network design, implementation, and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of Windows AD and Exchange 2010 administration a plus.
Outstanding customer service and interaction skills.
10+ years working as a Network Engineer or related fields.
Cisco Certification preferred.
Bachelor-s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
