Responsible for overall administration of network and server infrastructure supporting a 24 x 7 continuous availability environment
Passport Health Communications, Inc., a nationally recognized pioneer developing innovative solutions for the healthcare industry and one of Healthcare Informatics Top 100 Healthcare Companies, is seeking a Network Engineer.
Duties:? Remain familiar with company?s products, customers, corporate organizational structure and related information systems related activities
? Perform all aspects of systems engineering, including:
a. Install, configure, support and maintain servers (physical and virtual), and storage arrays
b. Active Directory, WINS, DNS and DHCP
c. Routing, switching, firewalls and VPN connections
d. SAN, MS clustering and other high availability solutions
e. System backup technologies
f. Data center environmental systems
g. Network/systems monitoring and management applications
? Manage projects from start to finish such as various upgrades and rollouts.
? Communicate technical networking information to non technical users and customers.
? Document administrative duties, security standards, and network policies.
? Provide assistance to helpdesk and customer service technicians.
? Obtain and share knowledge of all supported applications and platforms.
? Evaluate and make recommendations on technology
? Continually learn and improve technical skills by making use of reading materials and other available training tools.
? Be available during non-business hours to address production issues and perform maintenance.
? Provide direction to other Network Engineers and Network Administrators
? Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:? 3 to 5 years network administration experience
? Strong background in Windows server environment, VMware, enterprise-class storage, AD, LAN/WAN networking, and related technologies.
? Bachelors degree in information technology discipline preferred
? Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
? Microsoft MCSE or equivalent experience
? CCNP, CCIE or equivalent experience preferred
? On-call rotation; Weekly after-hours maintenance window
? Some travel, normally 2-3 days per month
