We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity where you will get a chance to work in a rocking startup. Key responsibilities include the identification and resolution of hardware and software technical problems/malfunctions for all production and development networks. These responsibilities require 24x7 coverage and response to systems alerts during 'on-call' periods. In addition, this position will serve as primary escalation point of contact for resolution of data center service problems / issues. Network analysis will be performed to proactively predict and detect errors in order to ensure maximum uptime and service quality. You will work closely with other IT groups to in the areas of throughput analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning, with the potential to affect the successful execution of business transactions. Take ownership of the network, responsible for its Growth, Polices, Change Management.
Monitor and respond to network failures as well as manage network monitoring systems.
Maintain the SaaS environment and work with QA, Developers, hosting company to identify and troubleshoot service problems
Analyses and resolves SaaS infrastructure faults and undertakes routine preventative measures, including backups and implements, maintains and monitors network security
Contributes to Security and Risk management initiatives, including business continuity planning for Saas environments
Ensures that HA failover mechanisms are in place and are working correctly
Configures and maintains network hw and software monitoring solutions to send alerts in case of service problems
Works with all other departments in the company to gather requirements and coordinate activities.
4+ years Juniper Routing
3+ years working with Force 10 Switching experience
3+ years FWSM/PIX/ASA experience
4+ years F5 experience
3+ years in a 24/7/365 high-volume environment
2 years of Linux Systems Administration experience
Knowledgeable in common network protocols (bgp,ospf,spanning tree)
CCNP, CCSP, or equivalent experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills required
Works well under pressure
Experience with highly available solutions / architectures
Experience working in a rapidly changing environment
Candidate MUST have experience working in a structured change management processes for highly available Web facing environment
Available for occasional On-call after-hours support
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
BSEE, CS or equivalent technical degree
