We are looking for a dynamic individual that is able to multi-task in a high energy, demanding environment. The Sr. Network Engineer position will require attention to detail and the ability to work independently on several projects and production network incidents. The position is responsible for assistance in development and maintenance of network communications for a specific set of premium clients. Duties will include using knowledge of LAN/WAN/MPLS systems to test and evaluate production network issues at multiple data centers and in conjunction with clients and the client?s other vendors, documenting root cause analysis after major incidents, creating and modifying port level diagrams, working with security appliances and after hours support. Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of tasks per approved change window and architectural guidelines. Strong technical knowledge of switching, routing and security appliances.
Perform work in PCI DSS, HIPAA, FISMA and HITECH compliant environments.
Work with clients troubleshooting VPN tunnel issues, often with a client?s third party vendors in a joint session.
Set up specific monitoring of traffic in and/or out of a firewall appliance and provide results to the client.
Troubleshoot brocade load balancer issues and provide resolution, which may include coordinating with the client and LT Sales to obtain updated warranty or to get approval for purchasing parts to make repairs.
Troubleshoot reported bandwidth issues and resolve or work with client to determine root cause.
Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
Open ports in firewall appliances as requested by clients.
Create and/or edit ACLs as requested by clients.
Add rules to VPNs, update static routes, and open UNC ports.
Run trace routes and providing results to clients.
Team with Tier 2 or Tier 3 to troubleshoot issues.
Other network tasks as assigned.

Proficient with an inventory and ticketing system

Ability to perform multiple tasks in a complex operating environment
Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with ITIL processes is a plus.
Security+, CCNA and/or CCNP desired to either currently possess or be able to obtain in the first year.
Education / Experience
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
6 to 8 years related work experience supporting medium to large Data Center environments.
