Job Skills/Requirements
Summary
The primary role that this position fills is that of software and hardware implementation, administration and support. This position provides support to the company's IT objectives and will develop, coordinate, and document plans, procedures, and architecture enhancements specific to Windows. The position will provide key support and further develop our core Windows architecture. The purview of this position includes all network, storage, and OS related to our internal and customer facing systems.
Minimum Requirements
Education
oBachelors in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience, or Characteristics
6 years of working in IT environment supporting a Windows Domain, WANs, LANs, or SANS, and network administration.
Certified MCSE, MCSM, CCNA, or Linux Certified preferred.
5-7 Years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator
Ability to investigate and solve complex problems
Ability to quickly diagnose and isolate hardware/software issues
Self-motivated
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Good project management skills
Works well in a team environment/regarded as a team player
Functions and Responsibilities (in addition to other duties as assigned)
1.Administer Microsoft Active Directory Domain
2.Administer Exchange 2010 mail system
3.Administer multiple Hyper-V environments
4.Recommend, Develop and Deploy IT infrastructure changes
5.Document changes to infrastructure according to established procedures
6.Review/implement system security
7.Diagnose system hardware/software problems
8.Work with SEs, PEs, and other technical groups to solve complex problems
9.Independently manage moderately complex projects
10.Any one or more of the following:
a.Manage all Microsoft Windows servers and services
b.Manage all Cisco routers and switches
c.Perform network protocols analysis
d.Support Telecommunications (Local/Long Distance voice, T-1, data) Infrastructure
e.Install and manage IP Telephony
f.Install and manage all Storage Systems and Storage Area Networks
g.Install and manage HP/UX and Linux
h.Implement Computer Security (IDS, Firewall, etc) policies and procedures for company
11.Windows and Linux System Administrator duties including access control, disk space utilization, and documentation for physical/network layers
12.Review Event Viewer and application log files for problems or anomalies and correct or report them as necessary
13.Assist in maintenance of physical facility infrastructure
