DescriptionResponsible for design and network implementation, installation, configuration, on-time delivery, and technical support for VPN/MPLS network customers. The NIE II is a senior level role, also responsible for new product development, testing and documentation. Works under minimal supervision in day-to-day operations, both individually and within a team environment. This is a complex position requiring technical expertise as demonstrated by CCNA or higher certification that performs all product installation and coordination related to network implementation in the realm of designing complex network solutions requiring multiple dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and RIP, high-end networking services including L2/3 VPN, MPLS, SIP, QoS, Metro and Carrier Ethernet, IPSEC, cloud voice & firewall services, and legacy TDM offerings. This position entails extensive internal contact with all levels of employees across multiple functions; extensive external contact with customers and vendors.Requirements
?Bachelor's Degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
?Minimum of 5 years? experience in telecommunications engineering in a customer-facing role.
?CCNA required.
?Hands-on network and CPE device configuration.
?Expert understanding of VoIP protocols, SIP signaling, network QOS, IP routing, Ethernet switching (including 802.11q, 802.11p, 802.3af).
?Experience with hosted and cloud based applications and services.
