About the job:
Twilio is growing exponentially and we are looking for a Director to build a world class NOC practice. The ideal individual has 5-10 years of experience in Network and Carrier related fields, strong operational background, solid technical skills as well as the ability to interact with senior leadership in a fast moving startup.
Establish 24 x 7 NOC function through defining mission and goals.
Create a strategic operating plan, establish policies, guidelines, metrics to guarantee high availability of services.
Maintain and improve system monitoring and failure procedures.
Identify areas for process and efficiency improvement within the NOC operations infrastructure.
Work with the business (line, marketing, product, sales) to understand challenges and seek constant improvement.
Look for key opportunities and take a proactive approach to analyze; initiate proactive projects to uncover key insights.
You are a self-starter with an extraordinary ability to execute multiple projects under tight deadlines that drive key business results.
Ability to partner, collaborate and communicate well with executive leadership (both technical and non-technical).
Passionate about the internet, UC technologies, and community building with a track record of visionary execution and community building with a demonstrated track record of visionary execution.
Keen understanding of the most recent trends around consumer usage.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact and understand technical subjects/emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace.
