Description
We are currently looking for a Network Engineer to work in our Orlando Data Center.
Responsibilities:
? Use, manage, and improve network monitoring and alerting systems
? Think of and suggest ways to improve our monitoring process
? Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance problems
? Escalate and push network issues to resolution within Voxeo and with our vendors.
? Maintain and respond to information from security monitoring systems
? Prepare network systems performance reports and analyze them for potential issues
? Maintain network infrastructure documentation
? Help organize and maintain internal systems to track issues and resolutions
? Help others on the Network Operations team as required
Requirements:
? Excellent oral, written, email, and IM communication skills
? Great process of elimination and other problem solving skills
? Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment where multi-tasking is a must
? Ability to work full time and third shift (40+ hours/week; 4-10s)
? Basic UNIX/Linux operating and troubleshooting skills
? Basic Windows Server operating and troubleshooting skills
? Experience with TCP/IP networking
? Experience with network monitoring systems such as Nagios or OpenNMS is a bonus
