SUMMARY
Ideal candidate will have these qualifications:
1 + years direct experience performing Wi-Fi wireless broadband network design and support.
3 + years direct experience as a RF network engineer, field engineer, application engineer, system engineer or equivalent for a wireless broadband equipment manufacturer or system integrator.
Must have solid practical experience with Wi-Fi and preferable other types of RLAN equipment.
IP network design, test and troubleshooting experience is required.
First-hand experience in using one or more RF Planning and mapping tools like AirMagnet Pro, IBwave, Mentum/Planet EV, etc.
Must have solid practical experience in designing, optimizing and troubleshooting wireless broadband and RLAN networks.
Direct experience with Ruckus equipment is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
Wi-Fi and Wireless broadband network design including IP, VoIP, VLAN, WLAN and QoS profiles.
Execution of project activities including Site Survey, EM survey, ATP, RF Audit, commissioning, special customer training, installation supervision, IP core design, NMS integration and technical reporting related to these activities.
Performs installation verification testing, writing test plans, testing new installations and system integration.
Responsible (direct or via contractors) for RF Design of the networks via RF Planning tools, performing the link budget, Propagation Model tuning for coverage analysis, and optimize the design as per customer guidelines.
Support trial testing, including site selection, develop procedures, technical assistance, final data collection, and create test reports.
Performs testing on 3rd party products for system solutions.
Perform or directs independent lab testing on Ruckus and 3rd party products when needed.
Performs vendor research, selection and testing of complementary products and accessories and special integration products.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
1-3 years of working experience and strong RF network architecture skills, propagation simulation, and performance simulation. Working knowledge of routers, VoIP GW & IADs, bridges and switches.
Direct experience with lab and field test equipment including spectrum analyzers, Wi-Fi survey tools, and Wi-Fi/Ethernet sniffers/analyzers.
REASONING ABILITY
Must have the ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision. This position requires the abilities to analyze information, reason pros and cons, and articulate the information with decision recommendations.
LANGUAGE/WRITING SKILLS
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills (English)
Must pay strong attention to details and have good organizational skills.
Writing reports and technical documents in publishable form.
Presentation Skills.
