Were currently seeking a network security engineer to help ensure our infrastructure and systems are held to the highest security standards.About the Job
This is a hands-on position, working to continuously review and enhance the security posture of Etsy's systems and networking infrastructure. Security engineers will leverage a number of custom and off-the-shelf tools in order to build out continuous monitoring and validation of Etsy's network security. This position also entails analyzing and implementing new security defenses and methodologies as Etsy's network evolves and expands.
About You
You enjoy designing and implementing network security technologies to help protect network boundaries and keep systems secure. You should be well versed in TCP/IP and with standard network security technologies like Snort and PF (or their equivalents.) Additionally, you should be familiar with host hardening techniques and resources like grsecurity, Suhosin, and Tripwire. Finally, you should believe that the best defense is a good offense and enjoy actively finding weaknesses in your network with tools like Nmap, BackTrack, and Metasploit.
