Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Network/Systems Administrator to install, maintain and administer all Corporate network hardware and operating system software. This position will provide network support for all local and remote PC users and/or all computer based network applications, and will administer critical e-mail, application and data backup systems and services for all Corporate business units.
This position is located in our Littleton, Colorado office. We offer a competitive salary, bonus opportunity and a full suite of benefits. Travel is required as necessary.
Specific Qualifications and Responsibilities include:
Manage the technical, evaluation, installation, administration and support of global network hardware and software such as servers, operating systems, storage devices, hubs and switches, and end-user equipment;
Provide technical direction to all locations to plan desktop computing and communications technology direction provides implementation and ongoing support services;
Coordinate activities of equipment and communications vendors and maintain internal systems to assure that network components are operational;
Perform testing and troubleshooting of all local and remote network hardware and software;
Develop inventory control measures and documentation;
Document and map network infrastructures;
Investigate customer reported quality issues;
Assist in installing and configuring routers and switches as directed;
Administer and manage user accounts, print services, and file security;
Support all remote network connections; dial-up, leased lines and Internet;
Ensure security procedures that address access to company data attached to the Company's local and wide area networks are documented, implemented and enforced;
Manage and support Microsoft Exchange 5.5 Servers in multiple sites, including the configuration and deployment of new Exchange servers, and resolve client issues directly related to the Exchange system;
Provide feedback and recommendations on infrastructure usability and functionality;
Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy and completeness; and
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product design, or schedules.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Manager.
Additional Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or a related field is required.
Professional knowledge of available Operating systems.
Professional knowledge of TCP/IP protocol, INTERNET and INTRANET connectivity, and EXCHANGE email.
Ability to analyze, identify, troubleshoot and solve complex network connectivity, server and PC hardware and software related.
Microsoft certified
Knowledge of Linux and Windows.
Ability to use of Microsoft Office products effectively.
Familiarity with a multitude of network environments.
MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, and other certifications as applicable.
Understanding of Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC).
