The role of the Network Engineer is to maintain, enhance and administer Arise contact center systems (LAN/WAN/VoIP) ensuring maximum uptime and system availability to the business. The Network Engineer will respond to, investigate and resolve in a timely manner issues reported via the Arise Service Desk and Network Operations Center. The Network Engineer will assist and participate in planning and budgeting activities with the Technical Operations Manager. The Network Engineer will also maintain vendor relationships as they pertain to the performance of duties.
The Network Engineer position is an ?on-call? position that requires carrying a cellphone or pager and participating in outage bridges that may at any time include Arise clients.
Support, administer and maintain Arise network switching, routing and VoIP(SIP, H.323) infrastructure.
Architect, implement and administer VoIP solutions that support and enhance Arise business objectives.
Manage day-to-day relationships with Arise data and Voice carriers and network equipment vendors.
Function as a subject matter expert for Arise data, network and VoIP systems.
Support, administer and maintain Arise VPN endpoint devices.
Support, administer and maintain Arise firewalls and ACLs, NAT pools and routing protocols.
Support, administer and maintain Arise Internet content filtering systems.
Support, administer and maintain Arise network monitoring systems.
Architect, implement and administer network solutions that support and enhance Arise business objectives.
Work as part of the Technical Operations team in support of Arise business objectives, troubleshooting issues and outages, program implementations and client requests.
Manage trouble ticket queue, adhering to ITIL change and incident management processes.
Create and maintain documentation for functional areas of responsibility.
Assist in internal customer networking issues.
Assist Information Security team in meeting all security compliance regulations and requirements. Includes documentation, log management and responding to audit requests.
Develop job aids for internal and external customers to assist users in knowledge of system functionality
Maintain a working relationship with key vendors
Maintain 99.99% uptime of all corporate and production network functions
Communicate and remedy support issues with clients both internal and external
Assist in skills development for co-workers
Minimum of 5 years? experience implementing, supporting and administering enterprise network systems in a multi-site/multi-tenant call center/BPO environment using the following platforms:
Cisco Switches (3560/3750/6500)
Cisco Routers (7200/2600/2800/3800/3900)
Cisco Firewalls (ASA 5520/5540/FWSM) w/IPS
Cisco Load balancers (ACE)
Cisco ACS, MARS, NAM
Juniper SSL VPN concentrators (SA6000)
Windows Active Directory/LDAP/DNS/DHCP
Experience with the following preferred, not required:
WebSense URL Filtering
Citrix XenServer Virtualization
Dell Servers and Blades
Must be fully skilled in the following:
Expert TCP/IP knowledge.
IPSec VPN setup, administration and troubleshooting across various and mixed platforms.
IP routing protocol (EIGRP/OSPF/BGP) setup, administration and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.
QoS setup, administration and troubleshooting in an enterprise VoIP environment (SIP, H.323, etc)
VLAN / Trunking / Etherchannel / Spanning-tree setup, administration and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.
HSRP setup, administration and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.
NAT setup, administration and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.
ACL setup, administration and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment
Required ? Cisco CCNA+Voice
Preferred ? Cisco CCNP+Voice, CCIE
College or University Level Degree Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent a plus.
