Networking Engineer Flurry

Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain systems to deliver high-volume, 24/7 web/software services
Software and hardware needs analysis, installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting
Network and application monitoring and security.
Automate processes and tasks (e.g, maintenance, release management, and application testing)
Participate in 24x7 on-call support and occasional off-hours maintenance.
Requirements:
Excellent technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong understanding of BGP and other routing protocols, L3 design, multi-homed networks, high-throughput links
In-depth understanding of networking hardware, design, hardening and best-practices.
Demonstrable understanding of networking within the Linux kernel (including and beyond netfilters stuff)
Solid understanding of Linux/Unix fundamentals, particularly RHEL/Centos.
Scripting/programming in at least one administrative language (Perl, Ruby, Python, Shell, etc.)
Familiarity with configuration tools such as puppet, chef or cfengine.
Able to lift equipment and boxes of up to 50 pounds
Desirable:
Experience with web, java webapps, database setup and management
Familiarity with SVN, git, or other version control system
Experience with Linux VPN (strongswan or similar), Bind, SMTP, NFS, RAID, cron
Tested knowledge of MySQL with experience configuring complex replication schemes, experience with Tungsten or similar a plus
Understanding of load-balancing fundamentals, preferred experience working with popular hardware solutions, and linux solutions such as haproxy or IPVS.
Experience designing/administering/programming large-scale distributed systems is a huge, mind-boggling plus.
Experiences with IOS or other network operating systems
