Help transition our team from a black-box, functional testing organization to a true white-box, system testing organization.
What You Will Own:
Define and thoroughly execute product and integration test plans, diagnose test failures and produce timely test reports
Continuously and proactively look for ways to improve product testing processes and procedures through appropriate test design and use of tools
Assist in the production of effective documentation and test specifications for both internal and external use
Learn to configure, operate, monitor, and debug Bytemobile products
Set up and maintain test environments including Linux and Solaris servers, Bytemobile software, networks, and test tools
Review product installation guides and manuals and functional specifications
Perform automation tasks using PYTHON and C

What You Will Bring:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Years of Experience Required
Three to five years? experience in software testing
Experience and Skills
Demonstrated success in specifying, implementing, maintaining, and executing functional and integration test plans in a commercial software environment
Strong experience in black-box testing, with understanding of white-box concepts
Ability to look at the big picture; to understand product architectures, requirements and testing challenges; and to come up with test methodologies and plans
Proven ability to learn new technologies independently
Professional, organized approach to assigned tasks and ability to complete them independently, with minimal direction or supervision, on time and to budget
Solid team player who recognizes and contributes to the value and quality of the team's deliverables
Highly organized, with a strong analytical and structured approach to problem solving and testing
Excellent communication (both written and verbal), analytical and organizational skills
Technical Skills Required
Good understanding of C and PYTHON
Strong UNIX/Linux experience
Strong foundation in TCP/IP and L2-L3 switching and routing concepts, with experience in building and configuring test labs networks
Understanding of ARP, STP, VLAN, TAGGING, ACLs (filtering), and VRRP concepts and configurations
Experience with TCP/IP routing and protocols such as UDP, WAP, HTTP, POP3, SMTP, SSH, FTP, SFTP, and SNMP
Technical Skills Desired
Experience with mobile devices
Understanding of basic IPv6
Experience with wireless networks (3G, 2.xG, GPRS, GSM, CDMA, etc.)
Experience with enterprise software and service-based offerings
