Networking Software Applications Director - Manycore Processors Tilera

We are seeking a technically hands-on director who will provide effective guidance to Engineering, Marketing and other Partners. You build a cohesive Software Applications team and deliver high-quality networking reference applications that clearly demonstrate the advantages of the Tilera processor and meet customer needs. This includes proofs of concept, benchmarks for pre-Sales engagements and reference components to accelerate customer time-to-market. You will deliver the whole product solution, including SQA testing, user documentation, and critical sales collateral such as demo packages, application notes, white papers, performance analysis and validation results.
You must oversee exemplary software engineering practices, including design specifications and review, code review, functionality and performance regression testing, both API (?black box?) and internal (?white box?) documentation, accurate effort and time estimation and delivery to committed schedules.
You will partner with Marketing and Sales to set priorities, define new directions, and specify deliverables. As technology and Tilera?s needs evolve, you will use your technical skills to master new domains and create solutions which position our application software solutions ahead of the competition.
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Strong domain expertise in networking software applications, ideally including network security and ?offload? systems integrating host and accelerator components.
Proven record of producing high-performance applications
Minimum 5 years of experience leading an engineering product team, including staffing top-notch engineers and managing the plan of record.
Minimum of 10 years total experience of technical contribution and leadership, including hands-on development and product design.
Excellent knowledge of computer architecture including multi-core, parallelism, cache coherency, and memory hierarchies
Expert knowledge of computer systems, especially network appliances, including systems comprised of general-purpose processors, specialized network processors, and components such as FPGAs and switch chips
Familiar with performance analysis and optimization, including using tools such as hardware performance counters, profilers, and standard benchmarking suites and utilities.
