About the Job
The New Account Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for selling Echo360?s entry-level blended learning software offering into selected higher education market segments in the US and Canada via the telephone. You?ll handle all stages of the sales cycle including: 1) contacting and converting in-bound leads into qualified sales opportunities; 2) researching and cold-calling into target accounts; 3) presenting and demonstrating the Echo360 solution; 4) preparing and delivering purchase proposals and 5) securing contracts and purchase orders from new customers.
This is a quota-carrying overlay sales role designed to complement and enhance Echo360?s existing team of ten territory-based Regional Sales Managers (RSMs). The New Account ISR is expected to close sales directly whenever possible, but may partner with the assigned RSM to pursue qualified opportunities requiring on-site sales engagement. The New Account ISR will retain ownership of newly-closed accounts for a limited period of time, then transition these accounts to other Inside Sales team members responsible for on-going account management. You?ll work closely with the Echo360 Marketing team and the Senior Manager of Inside Sales (your boss) to understand active lead generation campaigns and optimize their corresponding prospecting efforts.
Responsibilities
Exceed assigned productivity metrics and quarterly/annual sales quotas.
Learn and effectively deliver all basic Echo360 sales messages, product information and competitive positioning materials.
Contact, qualify and document new sales opportunities based on Echo360?s qualification criteria.
Maintain and expand the database of prospects.
Continually advance sales cycles, including professionally overcoming stakeholders objections.
Conduct remote product presentations and demonstrations
Prepare and deliver high-quality pricing proposals based on specific prospect requirements
Secure required Echo360 contracts and customer purchase orders to consummate sales
Collaborate effectively with territory-based Regional Sales Managers and other Echo360 Sales team members
Record all sales activity in Salesforce.com.
Work with the Senior Manager of Inside Sales to determine strategic approaches for sales results.
Participate in product training sessions, meetings, skills training and professional development.
About You
You are a highly motivated sales pro who thrives on exceeding goals and being recognized as a top sales performer.
You have 3+ years of experience selling high tech software solutions, preferably to higher education, and a proven track record of consistent over-goal sales performances. Having a Bachelor?s degree is also preferred.
You have exceptional cold calling and prospecting skills and are comfortable navigating all levels of an organization.
You?re a team player and have outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
Your strong analytical aptitude is capable of discovering and generating need, and building value.
You?re a well-organized self-starter who can handle multiple tasks with minimal oversight.
You?re familiar with CRM or contact management software, preferably Salesforce.com.
You look forward to traveling a maximum of 10% of the time for on-site customer visits, events and tradeshows.
If you have knowledge of and contacts in higher education, those would be a plus.
