Job Description
Position Objective:
Provide Manufacturing leadership for the successful introduction of new products into Manufacturing and Manufacturing Partners (MP). Partner with Design & Development Engineering, Supply Chain/Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Reliability Engineering, strategic development partners, suppliers, and Contract Manufacturers (CM) to achieve key product quality, cost, and reliability goals. Be the primary representative of Manufacturing in cross-functional NPI Core Teams. Assure Manufacturing resources are aligned to NPI schedules and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Be the primary Manufacturing NPIE technical representative and expert at designated domestic and international meter & device integration Manufacturing Partners (MP).
Collaborate with MPs in developing Beta and Pilot integration schedules and builds, in order to validate product manufacturability, quality and reliability.
Represent the Manufacturing organization in cross-functional NPI Core Teams as a technical, product and process expert and coordinate commitments and efforts within the manufacturing team.
Perform DFX reviews by partnering with Engineering and CMs to achieve key quality, cost, and reliability goals. (Examples: design margin analysis, preferred parts and suppliers, component/system cost goals, alternative components or solution analysis, DFM, DFA, DFT, DFQ and DFR).
Coordinate with development, quality, and reliability teams within SSN to assure all product, component, and process evaluations are completed to deliver a quality final product per the project schedule.
Identify, analyze, and initiate corrective actions within SSN or with partner organizations when product or process faults are uncovered.
Drive development of product test plans and system test requirements with test engineering and quality/reliability, including production test strategy and manufacturing process instructions.
Co-develop capacity planning model with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain and CMs.
Author BOMs, ECOs, DCOs, MCOs and deviations within PLM system (Agile) as required.
Monitor and sustain existing meter & device integration products at MPs to ensure continuous optimal production yields and high product quality.
Identify critical/strategic resource or prioritization issues and communicate them with action plans to management and other affected personnel.
Required Experience
BSEE, ME, or Physics. Advanced degree preferred.
Over 7 years of experience in Manufacturing Product, Process, or NPI Engineering in high volume electronics manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with RF and digital communication systems, circuits and applications.
Familiarity with board schematics, BOMs and test instrumentations.
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging techniques.
Self- motivated individual with demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently and within a team.
Experience with PLM systems (i.e. Agile, Arena, etc.)
Demonstrated success in fast paced and complex business environments.
Domestic and international travel may be required, up to 25%
