New Seller Growth Curriculum Specialist Etsy
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Etsy is seeking a curriculum development specialist to join our Seller Development team. You will be responsible for supporting our outreach efforts to educate our community through various channels, focusing primarily on Etsy sellers in the initial stages of their entrepreneurial development. Are you able to brilliantly dissect a topic into cohesive lessons, best practices and actionable steps? Can you develop and deliver educational content in an engaging, dynamic and interactive way? If you?re also passionate, creative, organized, data driven and entrepreneurial minded, then we need your skills in this critical role on our team! You must have at least three years of experience working as an instructor.
Part of Etsy?s larger Member Operations Team, the Seller Development Team is at the front lines developing content and programs that empower our 900,000 active sellers to successfully run their businesses. We deliver proactive and scalable programs tailored to meet our sellers? needs at various stages of their business growth. You will work with our team members focused on New Seller Growth. We bridge the gap between online marketplace and in-person community by providing content that both educates and inspires peer relationships amongst communities on the ground.
About the Position
You will report to our New Seller Growth Manager and work closely with teammates who help new Etsy sellers succeed in growing their businesses.
Explore the behaviors, needs and goals of new sellers on the site, from the part-time crafter to the full-time vintage seller who runs a brick and mortar shop but is new to Etsy.
Through strategic research and analysis, you will identify the needs and potential of targeted members as they work toward their first sale and lay a foundation for growth.
Work closely with our New Seller Growth Manager, Member Operations data analyst, international teams and product to pinpoint effective strategies for content delivery as well as the best methods to gauge and track effectiveness.
Support these strategies by developing and testing educational content to be delivered through mediums such as presentations, workshops, video and email.
Deliver your content via online or in-person workshops or presentations.
Provide documentation and reporting in order to share continual data-driven analysis of your efforts and the indicators for their success - or the need to adapt a different approach.
Experienced teacher/presenter/workshop leader/instructor in traditional or non-traditional roles.
Comfortable developing curriculum in various mediums such as presentations, in-person workshops, email or video.
Able to help other people understand complex concepts through clear, concise writing, exercises and actionable next steps.
Able to customize tone, pacing and content depending on the audience.
Knowledgeable about Etsy: site policies, do?s and dont's, know our terms and our community.
Able to handle multiple projects at once while still maintaining attention to detail.
A superior verbal and written communicator.
Cozy with numbers, data and metrics - let?s measure and analyze to make the best decision we can.
Keen to learn from small scale experiments before scaling
Highly detail-oriented and organized ( you're a fan of Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Excel )
Familiar with social media, online marketing, online educational platforms and content delivery software such as Keynote
Experience as an Etsy seller and/or small business owner
Experience developing marketing campaigns
