ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:?
We are scouting for an Information Technology Manager who will be the go-to person to own, lead and oversee the management, strategy and execution of IT infrastructure across our three offices and provide support to our employees in the field and staff that travel frequently.
This is an opportunity to step in and lead the company through its next evolution, leverage its 14 year history and use your passion to create a rolling road map for all IT related infrastructure and services. You will be asked to conduct ongoing risk analysis that identifies and ranks risks to the network, network resources, and data. We will rely on you to incorporate formal documentation of our entire IT infrastructure and the specifics behind what that entails. You should be able to work well in ambiguity and able handle a wide degree of creativity and latitude to get things done.
We believe that to be successful in this role, you?ll need to hit the ground running and demonstrate strong customer support, follow-through, and interpersonal skills in the following key areas:
You are a hands-on expert in most or all relevant technologies and able to manage the information technology department--focus on Networking and Desktop Support
Familiarity and prior hands on experience with real-time network monitoring and alerting tools, such as PRTG, Nagios, or Ganglia
Implement and maintain policies--Security, Backup, Disaster Recovery, Operations, etc.
Ensure proper functioning of information processing systems and oversee necessary upgrades as needed
Work with all internal groups to utilize information systems to improve their efficiency
Ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated and maintained in a professional manner
Perform a wide variety of tasks including working closely with Engineering, Facilities, Operations and Manufacturing
Lead and mentor the work of Desktop support staff
Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
5+ years? experience with midsize Microsoft Windows Domain networks (50-250 users)
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, related field or equivalent work experience
CCNA (Cisco) certification (including Security) or equivalent certification
Practical working knowledge of Amazon Web Services
Oversee front-line support to end-users
Experience with networking concepts and technologies: QoS, NAT, SSL, HTTP, Firewall, routing, switching and network protocols
Understanding of technologies such as: SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, RAID, backup & recovery
Define debugging tools and aids to reduce troubleshooting time in support efforts
Scripting: BASH, Perl, Python, PHP
Source control: SVNLinux admin skills
Web server skills (IIS, Apache, Tomcat)
Back-up and disaster recovery measures
Configure and maintain reporting and dashboard subsystems
Occasional evening and weekend work is required, when most sports are broadcast
Interest and knowledge of sports including familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures, a plus!
