NLP Engineer New Brand Analytics

Location: Washington, DC
You?ll join a team of engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts working to turn the mess of social media commentary into a clear view of what consumers are saying about our customers. You might be a data scientist, a computational linguist, a machine-learning engineer, and/or a software engineer. You will work with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to help specify, develop, evaluate and monitor the performance of the natural language processing and machine learning components of our applications. Our emphasis is on innovation, creativity, and scalability. Your work will be to guarantee that ideas ? yours included ? become concrete, reliable software that adds substantial value to our application and therefore to our customers? operations.
We?re in a rapidly evolving market, so you?ll work with the product management team to understand new requirements and deliver upon them on a rapid release cycle. Technologies rapidly change as well, so you?ll always be exploring how to advance our technology foundation to be one step ahead of the market demands.
The Ideal Candidate:
Loves working with the following technologies and has 3+ years of experience:
Programming: Java, Scala, Python, C++, C#, etc.
Statistical programming: R, Matlab
Statistical, knowledge-based, and hybrid methods in NLP
Relational Databases and SQL
Effective written and oral communication
Is passionate, ambitious and ready to join a team with fantastic momentum and growth.
