Dotomi is expanding its operation and building a front line systems administration team. To support this goal we are creating a small team of highly skilled Systems Administrators who will be responsible for supporting the hardware, operating systems, software, databases, and application software used to host the infrastructure and application web sites. Emphasis is placed on leveraging diverse skill sets and technologies to provide maximum system reliability and availability.
This team will be staffed with expertise to push problem resolution to the front lines to quickly and efficiently identify and repair issues and minimize business impact. The position requires a high-level of cross-functional experience spanning multiple hardware and open systems platforms, strong problem resolution and debugging skills, understanding of application software and how it interacts with the infrastructure, and the ability to identify, trouble shoot and resolve system and application problems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
? Day-to-day systems administration, monitoring, operation, application and infrastructure support of a multi-tiered, open systems environment running LINUX and both packaged and custom applications.
? Provide system administration and operational support for web and business application environments and aggressively lead site problems to resolution.
? Provide identification, diagnosis, resolution and escalation of system and application issues.
? Proactively monitor performance of systems and applications to ensure system availability and performance.
? Identify chronic and consistent system problems and recommend and implement solutions.
? Lead the discovery, establishment and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOP) for managing troubleshooting and operation of the site.
? Manage and track or resolve trouble reports from the user community and make recommendations to engineering and development teams to facilitate resolution.
? Actively participate in the development and improvement of enterprise monitoring systems and applications.
? Maintain effective working relationships and open communication with other team members, internal customers and with 3rd parties and vendors.
? Participate in 24x7 rotational on-call support for the various technical environments as needed.

? Excellent communications skills both written and verbal are mandatory.
Experience & Education
? Two to three plus years of hands-on system administration and support experience in a LINUX and Ecommerce enterprise application environment.
? Experience with standard system operations methods and procedures. Demonstrated trouble shooting and problem solving abilities and initiative.
? Experience with both enterprise and custom built monitoring and management tools (e.g. Solarwinds, Ganglia, Nagios, Cacti, OpenNMS, etc).
? Experience with writing and developing automated administration, monitoring and management utilities using Python, Perl, various Shells or other languages.
? Knowledge of networking as it relates to systems and application management, system implementation and troubleshooting.
? Previous experience working in small technical teams with a strong ability to perform well under pressure.
