North America Sales Director Magnum Semiconductor

Magnum is currently seeking a North America Sales Director who will have responsibility for the sales of Magnum Semiconductor products in North America. The successful candidate will manage the relationship with customers & partners, drive sales activities by leveraging resources to maximize Magnum's revenue and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be based in one of the following locations: SF Bay Area, New York, Toronto or San Diego. The position reports directly to the VP Worldwide Sales and Services.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of Sales Account Managers in North America
Responsible for the performance and development of the Sales Account Managers
Assist Sales Account Managers in preparation of proposals and presentations
Conduct one-on-one review with all Sales Account Managers to build more effective communications and understand training and development needs
Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance
Achievement of his/her own individual revenue targets
Understand customer needs/expectations and decision making process
Identify and qualify projects
Build accurate pipeline to manage priorities and provide forecast
Define account plans and execute them through effective planning of resources
Present proposals, manage negotiations and close the sales
Gain strategic information about customers and the industry to help anticipate market trends
Participation in trade shows, client conferences, industry events, etc.
Partner with and develop key relationships with Management, Business Teams (product marketing, product specialists), Professional Services (pre and post sales support)
Build and leverage relationships with existing and potential customers and partners
Requirements:
Strong understanding and experience of the Broadcast industries along with video and media background
Track record in selling compression video products to OEM and/or service operators (including but not limited to: encoders, transcoders, decoders, servers, chipsets and so forth)
Proven experience directly managing sales teams, setting performance and development objectives
Proven track record of identifying and qualifying projects, creating and executing account plans, negotiating and closing sales in long and complex sales cycles
Track record of building relationships with clients at all levels, inspiring trust and credibility
Strong customer orientation
Demonstrated successes in planning and organizing, along with strong Initiative, judgment/problem solving skills
Self motivated, result and revenue driven
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability
Ability to work effectively under time pressure
Show creativity and input to projects
Capability to work in a multi-cultural/multi-national environment
Ability to travel up to 50%
