North America Senior Field Applications Engineer - 450 Tensilica

The Senior Field Applications Engineer is responsible for working directly with customers in key technical pre-sales and post-sales roles to provide architectural and design consulting on the best use of Xtensa in a customer's ASIC design. The Senior FAE is also responsible for supporting business development activities at key strategic accounts in his/her geographic region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide technical presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations of Tensilica products, and work closely with the field sales organization to achieve revenue targets
Fulfill a pre-sales role that includes providing technical insight about Tensilica products to prospects, optimization of customer's software code during an evaluation, and processor performance and implementation benchmarking or analysis
Manage technical accounts and champion customers? technical issues within the company
Engage, with the assistance of the Sales Team, in business development activities in key strategic accounts, particularly in Texas and in the Central US (e.g., Illinois, Colorado, etc.).
Primary responsibility for assigned areas and other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience with at least one of the following is required: DSP architectures, developing embedded software for DSP?s, ASIC design using Verilog/VHDL, C/C++ and Assembly programming, CPU architectures. Prior experience in audio and/or mobile wireless strongly desirable
Prior FAE or Business Development experience in semiconductor or EDA industry is required. Semiconductor IP experience a definite plus. An MS in EE/CS is preferred. Some degree of travel throughout Texas and other regions of North America will be required
BS in EE/CS or equivalent and 7+ years? industry and technology experience with 5+ years experience as a Field Applications Engineer
