Nurse Clinical Assistant to the CMO HealthHelp, Inc.

The Nurse Clinical Assistant to the CMO works within general methods and guidelines, and exercises considerable independent judgment while assisting in the administrative aspects of planning, and development of health care programs, training and dissemination of information in a managed care corporate setting. The Nurse Clinical Assistant to the CMO position requires knowledge of managed care and corporate policies, procedures, operation of the organization, and regulations of various medical credentialing organization and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and organize Chief Medical Officer?s calendar, meetings and travel
Screen, sort, filter, organize and route communication for Chief Medical Officer
Field escalated calls, identifies issues and direct to appropriate department head for resolution
Work on multiple projects and establish appropriate priorities. Coordinate the assignment of duties and the completion of tasks as appropriate
Assist Clinical Review Manager with training and ongoing education of clinical review nurses
Monitor, review, analyze and document metrics report as required
Coordinate and attend nurses/MD?s and client meetings. Capture minutes and follow-up items as appropriate
Facilitate communication with consult doctors
Interact effectively with clients, executives and board members
Recognize and safeguard confidential information
Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Work independently or with limited supervision
Must be organized, analytical, professional, and flexible
Good at distilling information and taking the necessary steps to ensure completion
Project Management skills
Excellent communication skills
Must communicate with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner on the phone and in person
Basic understanding of Utilization Management
Quality Management skills
Patient Care Advocate
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
