Title: Nurse Practitioner
Reports To: Chief Scientific Officer and SVP, Quality, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs
Department: Clinical Affairs
Under physician supervision, provides clinical services within the scope of licensing according to standardized medical procedures. Under PI delegation, conduct clinical research in accordance to GCP, CFR and study protocol. Work closely with the Zeltiq Training Center to provide clinical support and execute on downstream educational strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):
? Oversee all aspects of the Company?s on-site clinic including patient schedules, staffing and overall compliance.
? Assess, plan, implement and monitor individual patient care.
? Evaluate potential study subjects per protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria.
? Conduct informed consent process.
? Perform treatment, monitoring, and post-treatment assessment.
? Work with teams throughout the organization to enhance communication and promote intra-department collaboration.
? Collaborate with the Sales Training Center employees and assist in presenting the Company?s products and protocols to physicians and their staff during training sessions.
? Respond to off-hour calls as needed.
? Complete charting and required paperwork in a timely manner.
? Promote a safety-conscious work force and maintain good housekeeping practices.
? Ensure a friendly and orderly environment that fosters clinical research activities that conform to GCP and CFR.
? Assist in subject recruitment activity.
? Perform other duties as assigned.
? Bachelors in Nursing is required and certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the certifying body.
? Licensed to practice within state of California, as a Nurse Practitioner.
? BCLS required, ACLS preferred.
? Demonstrate a strong customer-oriented attitude. Able to establish rapport and put study participants at ease.
? Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
? Proficient with MS Office, including Word and Excel.
? Occasional flexibility in work hours, including weekends, may be required.
? Experience working in a clinical research clinic is strongly preferred.
? Experience in a sales oriented position is preferred.
? Strong presentation, public speaking and training skills.
? Familiarity with aesthetic medicine and practice is preferred.
? Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with FDA?s Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO13485, the Canadian Medical Device Regulations, and all other international regulatory requirements with which ZELTIQ complies.
