Teradici is seeking an End-User Computing Specialist (VMware View) with two or more years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting VMware View implementations within various enterprise environments. This is a full-time position based out of the VMware Austin (Texas) call center.
Under limited supervision, generate leads, pursue lead inquiries and prospect potential customers.
Create and recognize opportunities and assist in the sale of products.
Contact customers and work with VMware to uncover needs, sell product solutions, and propose upgrades utilizing the array of Teradici solutions.
Provide support to the inside and field sales managers to keep account activities current, assist with and close sales, and identify and solicit new business opportunities.
Work in partnership with Marketing and/or outside field sales personnel to ensure available response to customer inquiries and issues, and proactively determine customer needs and appropriate sales strategies to meet business development goals.
Understand and assist in technical solutions.
Responsible for responding to in-bound customer phone calls and applicable follow-through within assigned territory. Provide advice and assistance by forwarding literature; maintain deal registrations, determining lead-time, working with VMware sales teams and closing sales.
Conduct training sessions with End User Computing (EUC) Sales teams virtually and in-person.
Establish and maintain relationships with Value Added Resellers (VARs).
Satisfy internal reporting requirements by submitting reports and records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Minimum High School diploma, or equivalent;
Experience with Operating System / Application image virtualization & deployment;
Implementation and Design experience;
Experience with PCoIP solutions - Dell, Samsung, HP, LG, etc.;
Experience with Citrix / Microsoft;
Deep working knowledge of the following:
VMware View 4.1/5/5.1
VMware View Connection Server
Solid system and network debugging skills and network performance analysis;
Sufficient technical depth to communicate with the development team and other internal organizations at a peer level on behalf of the customer;
Ability to interact and communicate (verbal and written) with the customers? technical and management personnel, including polished presentation skills;
Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage and prioritize concurrent technical support demands;
Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision;
Exceptional, demonstrated consultative sales skills;
Available to travel as required (up to 25%)
Associate Degree in a business or technical curriculum preferred.
