On-Site Technician 1 (1 hour per week) SterilMed

On-Site Technician 1.
Sterilmed is a nationally recognized company that safely reprocesses single-use medical devices
for hospitals and surgery centers across the country. We take great pride in saving hundreds of
millions of dollars for the health care system while simultaneously diverting thousands of tons of
biomedical waste from landfills. Medical device reprocessing is an FDA-regulated industry and is
endorsed by the AHA, AORN, CMS and the Joint Commission.
Key duties of the position include:
? Collaborate with Sales to drive penetration within existing accounts.
? Ability to develop and execute plans to increase collections in existing accounts
regardless of whether or not the account is buying back the devices.
? Provide in-service training on reprocessing to hospital and surgery center departments.
? Maintain weekly communication with key contacts and staff in assigned accounts.
? Maintain at a minimum weekly communication with Account Manager and Field Service
? Assist with gross decontamination of devices according to policies and procedures that
are necessary to meet shipping requirements
? Boxing and shipping devices for reprocessing
? Maintain necessary supplies and documentation for appropriate boxing and shipping
? Follow schedule agreed to with Field Service management
? Help drive Reprocessing initiatives with respect to product logistics
? Know and follow Return Goods Authorization process (RGA)
? It will be necessary to travel between assigned hospital sites using your own vehicle for
participation in the OR Boost program or to cover account launches or leaves

? POLICIES: Know and follow Sterilmed and Johnson & Johnson policies and procedures
related to work activities performed in area of responsibility
? TRAINING: Complete training in area of responsibility within allowed time-period.
Training is required for changes in existing policies & procedures, for new assignments and
for implementation of new policies & procedures. Complete required periodic re-training
in areas such as environmental health & safety
? SAFETY: Follow all company safety policies & other safety precautions within work area.
Promote safety to all associates that enter the work area
Desired qualifications include:
? Associates degree or certificate in healthcare field or equivalent experience preferred
? 3-7 years healthcare experience preferably with exposure to the Operating Room,
Central Service/Sterile Processing, Materials, Purchasing or Supply Chain
? Prior experience in the medical device industry is preferred
? Knowledge of the Operating Room, Central Service Department, or similar environment
where decontamination and preparation of surgical instruments is performed is optimal
? Proficient in Microsoft Office ? Customer support experience a plus
? Ability to present information in a professional manner
? Ability to understand process management a plus
? Highly motivated and organized
? Problem solving skills
? Must be able to lift 40lbs
? Ability to function independently as well as part of a team
? Excellent written and oral communication skills
? Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
