Job Description
The Oncology Data Support Technician performs clerical support to the Cancer Registry functions as directed.
Responsibilities:
Initiate and/or maintain follow-up and/or treatment information for all cancer cases in registry in accordance with the Hospital and Commission on Cancer requirements
Assist with case finding if required
Assist in maintaining data quality assurance
Prepare productivity reports as requested by Team Leader
Assist with all other Cancer Program and Registry activities as needed such as abstracting, cancer conferences, follow-up, TNM letters, etc
Requirements
High School Diploma
Courses in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
Medical records experience preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
Excellent office skills with knowledge and use of computers
