Online Community Manager SOA Software

It is a connecting point where APIs can be published, promoted, and managed in a secure, scalable environment. API providers can create and manage their own developer community, or just plug into the existing communities. APIs can be discovered and harnessed by creative people who blend it with complementary APIs from your partners. Where these developers can work together, share ideas, and support each other in new and productive ways. Think of it as Enterprise Ready API Management, done socially.
SOA Software is looking for an Online Community Manager to lead community growth and culture efforts for its Atmosphere community of API providers and application developers. Working with the Marketing and Business Development teams, the Online Community Manager will encourage, facilitate, and develop relationships with the Atmosphere online audience through the built in social environment as well as all related social media and networking mediums. This position will be responsible for engaging with the Atmosphere online community about the APIs, applications, businesses and groups that depend on Atmosphere for the day to day activities related to supporting APIs and their user base. The Online Community Manager will also write and publish content to all social media channels related to Atmosphere, including writing featured articles for the Atmosphere blog. The position will be working in a high volume, deadline oriented team environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Monitor and guide the content and contributions within Atmosphere, as submitted by API providers and developers
Provide daily content with SEO value, track metrics, monitor and respond to conversations
Plan and implement creative programs to grow user base, traffic to Atmosphere, and engagement
Manage the SOA Software and Atmosphere communities on Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, YouTube, and other social media
Develop and manage editorial calendar for key social media initiatives, and publishing status updates and reports, as appropriate
Moderate blog comments and participate in blog discussions
Listen to users and solicit and interpret user feedback
Translate feedback into actionable recommendations for audience and revenue growth
Analyze and report on user activity data; develop SOA Software understanding of visitors behavior and their connections to us online
Moderate and be the voice of the community and the translator between the users and the stakeholders
Travel to Atmosphere events such as conferences and hackathons as the Atmosphere evangelist
Experience and Skills
Strong understanding of social media, networking sites, and new media trends
Exceptional organizational skills are required to manage and prioritize daily work schedules
Exceptional writing and copy editing skills
Excellent project management skills
Solid Web production experience
Basic HTML and WordPress skills
Track-record of successful email and online channel management
A minimum of four years previous experience in online marketing or online journalism
A solid understanding of APIs, web services, and general technology and trends
