THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Online Marketing Manager role includes marketing and product management responsibilities. You'll grow our site traffic and lead volume through SEM, SEO, and conversion optimization via A/B testing. You'll also help manage the addition of new features and site updates, from requirements and data gathering, to writing specs, to working with our engineers to get new features live.
This position is based in New York.
Design, run and scale SEM with significant and growing monthly budget, and manage complementary SEO campaigns
Define 10gen's A/B testing strategy and build processes to quickly and efficiently gather hypotheses, test them, and implement the results
Use all available data (website analytics, ad performance data, sales data, A/B test data, user testing, etc.) to drive site traffic and improve paid conversions
Gather user and other stakeholder requirements in order to write well-reasoned specifications for requested features and other projects
Administer our sites using the Drupal content management system, and help triage and troubleshoot bugs
Manage portfolio of analytics and other management tools, adding new tools as you see fit
Significant experience (2+ years) planning and managing SEM, SEO and landing page optimization campaigns
Experience with, and deep understanding of, A/B and multivariate testing tools and concepts
Experience with, and deep understanding of, website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to think and communicate clearly about problems, and successfully advocate for good solutions
Some experience with, and enthusiasm for, product management tasks, e.g. user testing, writing specifications, user experience, graphic design, analytics, etc.
Self-motivation, resourcefulness, and detail orientation, including the ability to solve complex problems and complete complex projects with minimal help
Enthusiasm for computing, new technology and open source (particularly as expressed through interesting side projects you've worked on)
Experience with the Drupal content management system a big plus
Understanding of MongoDB a plus
