Online Tech Journalist Spiceworks
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED
Summary: What?s this job about?
Fancy yourself like a journalist or maybe even a detective? Find yourself in a sad state if you?re not up to speed on the hottest trends in SMB IT? (Read: If you had to Google what SMB stands for, this role is not for you!) And have a passion for writing and communicating ideas? Combine those talents with a love for working and understanding IT pros plus at least a dash of curiosity in the email marketing world and you?ve got the scoop on what you?ll be doing in this role. By engaging in the Spiceworks Community, you?ll continue to stay on top of what?s hot (or not!) in the IT world ? all while getting to work with IT pros to help them hone their writing skills. Imagine the love you?ll get when you help an IT guy or gal publish an online article (that?ll also get sent out via email for all of their fellow IT pros to see). You?ll work with a dynamic, focused team in a high-energy environment? and you?ll enjoy the roller-coaster ride of it all along the way!
Called the ?Facebook of IT,? Spiceworks is all the rage among more than 1.5 million IT pros around the world that use our product to do their jobs and interact with each other to simplify ?everything IT.? Top technology advertisers like Microsoft, Intel and Rackspace are clamoring to reach them by advertising in Spiceworks. We?re transforming the way that today?s tech products are managed, marketed and sold. And, given we?re growing by 2,000 new users a day, it?s no wonder that Forbes coined Spiceworks ?the future of media?!
We need a tech savvy person who?s ready to dive in and immerse themselves in our online IT community. You?ll create relationships with IT pros and walk them through the writing process. You?ll research the tech areas that should be written about and work with the sales and marketing teams to drive revenue with those additional areas ? and all while keeping track of performance too! You?re a person who works well under pressure (often a time crunch!), while still being able to ?go with the flow.? A person who?s more than a multi-tasker ? truly bored if they don?t have many projects going on at once.
Responsibilities: What will I do? (?a better question is ?what will I not do??!)
