THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Online Merchandiser will drive decisions that increase online conversion through online analytics, improving product presentation, navigation, cross-sells and other cross merchandising opportunities. They will focus on continuous optimization and innovation, using all available analytics as well as merchant intuition.
A combination marketing, merchandising, online commerce and campaign management skills. The position will manage day to day activities of the company?s online store, monitoring the daily metrics to create actionable solutions for improving traffic and conversion.
Maximize site performance and enhance the consumer online shopping experience by leading the planning, scheduling, deployment, execution, and maintenance of all site content.
Participate in the development and prioritization of Site experience changes and updates, utilizing site analytics tools and other performance data
Develop, maintain and communicate Site Update schedules and processes
Oversee and be responsible for QA testing and deployment of product, content, campaign and promotion updates to the web site
Develop full proficiency and expertise in using the Web Site Administration tool
Work independently to develop creative solutions to challenges
Operate in a high-intensity environment
Use your knowledge and experience to achieve business goals while maintaining the integrity and quality of the projects you manage
Maintain operational excellence while being a central piece to the successful ongoing operation, presence, and effectiveness of the website while enhancing the customer?s shopping experience.
Develop and oversee an effective planning, QA, and change deployment process for content across the website
Ensure consistent branding, image and content delivery
Coordinate site launches and/or traffic-driving events with the development team.
Conduct usability testing to balance business goals and objectives with customer experience.
Act as the primary customer advocate, ensuring the best possible customer experience.
Generate ideas for improving engagement and satisfaction with the site based on analysis of customer feedback.
Evaluate, critique and contribute to information design and content organization
Prepare and distribute website performance reports weekly
Participate in reporting, planning and budgeting
Desired Skills & Experience
5 years as an ecommerce manager for a B2C website
Strong online production and/or project management skills and experience required; ability to prioritize work with a sense of urgency/ownership and meet deadlines.
Must be able to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities in fast-paced environment; respond quickly to changing business needs/timelines and completing quality projects on time.
Must be deadline driven and detail-oriented - a strategic critical thinker who also has a high attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Must be a strong, clear communicator with the ability to communicate (written and verbal) with multiple teams is required, including: marketing, merchandising, MIS, development, creative, customer contact team, and more.
Understanding of Internet technologies, web design and production environments, production schedule management, project management
Some knowledge of Web standards, design, usability, content management systems and their application to content production.
Proven ability to work effectively with minimal direction.
Ability to analyze and apply data to improve results.
Must be creative, resourceful, decisive, and resilient; all the time using good judgment and problem-solving skills
Ability to draft excellent project briefs, content specifications, test plans, and process documents
Must be well versed in project management software such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word.
Usability and customer-focused design experience a plus.
