Summary of Functions:
Develop, maintain, and prepare reports. Write queries to extract data for reports and ad hoc analyses. Construct spreadsheet models to support operational planning, budgeting, pricing, and variance analysis.
Use MS Access and/or SQL to develop and run queries to obtain data from databases to support ad hoc analysis and regular recurring reporting needs.
Design management reports that are concise, logically arranged/organized, professional looking, and easy to prepare/update/publish on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Design and build report formats/templates in MS Excel.
Prepare and distribute (via e-mail) reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Modify/maintain reports and reporting logic/queries as business processes and requirements change.
Document logic used to obtain data and generate reports.
Troubleshoot reporting issues and data anomalies.
Design and develop spreadsheets and/or databases as required to support ad hoc operational and informational requirements.
Seek continuous improvement in reports and reporting processes to improve report content and minimize the level of effort required to produce and publish reports.
Identify, measure, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and other operational and financial metrics.
Develop operational and cost models in MS Excel to support resource planning, forecasting, budgeting, pricing, and variance analysis.
Answer questions for internal and external customers on a regular basis.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree required, preferably in a quantitative/analytical field (mathematics, statistics, science, engineering, computer science, accounting, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
Experience working with databases and writing queries (using either SQL or MS Access) strongly desirable.
Familiarity with supply chain/logistics operations management concepts a plus.
Familiarity with basic accounting principles a plus.
