Summary
The Operations Analyst will provide platform support for Newmarket's hosted applications utilizing technical expertise, problem solving skills, and internal / external communications. The core responsibilities of this role are to maintain the integrity of information passed into and through the hosted applications along with ensuring the SLAs of the systems are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review alerts in SCOM and respond as is required
Create alerts / monitors in SCOM to support the management and monitoring of the hosted applications
Proactively monitor environments to prevent incidents / problems from occurring
Respond to and resolve incidents as they occur
Create technical documentation to define solution steps for resolving incidents
Work with team to define processes to improve response time to incidents as they occur
Manage and resolve Clarify cases escalated from the support team and other departments
Assist in identifying technical needs, technology improvements and general areas needing improvement
Maintain technical knowledge of all supported Newmarket products through internal training and hands-on experience
Specialize in one or more hosted NI products or supporting technologies
Keep team members, management, and Newmarket International personnel informed of client issues
Maintain the highest level of client satisfaction
Maintain a professional demeanor in the office and when interacting with clients
Meet defined SLA requirements for hosted applications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from four year college or university; or three to five years related experience (within a call center/help desk environment) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to manage and administer SQLenvironments including backups, performance monitoring, and setting up jobs / scheduled tasks.
Ability to write SQL queries and understand relational databases
Ability to write scripts using VB and/or Powershell
Experience with SSRS as well as strong understanding of SQL table structure and relational databases.
Working knowledge of Biztalk
General understanding of IIS and web applications
Experience with Microsoft System Center desired
Strong knowledge of PC's, Microsoft Windows operating systems
Thorough understanding of the hospitality industry and it's business reporting needs
