Operations Engineer Elance

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Operations Engineer to join our growing team! If you have strong skills in implementing and managing high availability, mission critical infrastructure, are a dedicated problem solver and rock at multi-tasking, keep reading. This is a full-time position with huge growth potential. In this role, you will:
Perform software installations and documentation
Manage configuration changes for the deployed systems
Develop scripts to automate processes and monitor system performance
Document implementation processes and procedures
Be on-call and have after-hours responsibilities as needed
Have some datacenter engineering work
To win in this role, you need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
2+ years of Linux system administration including data center technical experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize tasks
1+ years of experience with one or more scripting languages: Bash, Python, or equivalent
To be comfortable in a start-up environment where innovation and change are the norm.
Experience with version control systems, such as git, is a plus
Experience using configuration management systems (Chef, Puppet, CFEngine, etc.) is preferred
