Operations Engineer (Strong AWS Focus) Metamarkets

We're searching for an operations engineer to manage our expanding footprint in the Amazon Web Services ecosystem. Your daily work will revolve around architecting the systems and services that support our distributed analytics platform, including a 1000-core deployment of our in-memory database.

You should have experience working with core AWS services -- EC2, EMR, and S3 -- and familiarity with new offerings focused on security and identity management (VPC and IAM). Proficiency with Galaxy (a lightweight deployment system developed at Ning) or similar deployment tool is desirable. Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS and Zookeeper) is a plus.

We are also open to individuals with limited operations experience but a strong interest in gaining exposure to cloud computing infrastructures.
