Operations Engineer Dasient

As an operations engineer, you will be responsible for the production uptime and release management of a large, scalable distributed system that identifies web-based malware attacks across the Internet. You will work very closely with a high caliber software engineering team.Responsibilities:
- Being the primary point-of-contact for production cluster issues
- Being responsible for release management and pushes to production clusters
- Developing internal tools for cluster management and automation
- Working with a team of high caliber engineers on a web-scale distributed system. You will be welcome to give inputs on all aspects of software development at Dasient
- Optionally, you may also choose to split your time between operations and software engineering
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Equivalent
- Great analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience deploying web-scale software on large clusters
- Experience with security technologies (malware, network and web app firewalls, etc.) a plus
- Database development and management experience a plus
- Experience with automatically replicating distributed storage technologies (think NoSQL) a plus
- Experience in PHP, Ruby, MySQL, C, and C++ a plus
- Familiarity with common tools such as puppet, nagios, ganglia a plus
- Zeal to work in an exciting technology startup, next to highly driven engineers and entrepreneurs.
