Summary of Functions:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager on 2nd Shift at our facility in the Memphis community.
Summary of Functions
Conducts and participates in strategic planning including administrative, technological, operational, and/or customer and New Breed supply chain objectives. Manages the inventory, operations oversight, order management/customer service, and program reporting coordination activities.
Establishes and administers policies, procedures, and develops individual and team organizational growth.
Interfaces with Forecasting, Demand Planning, and Replenishment and Procurement to build operational and supply chain strategies and achieve cost and service objectives.
Provides/develops and/or implements the necessary concepts, applications, and tools for the purpose of continually improving the program in overall performance to meet contractual service levels and best industry practices.
Conducts root cause analysis, formulates and presents data to facilitate business objectives, makes recommendations, establishes metrics and manages/executes projects.
Acts as a major customer point of contact and converses effectively so as to ensure customer confidence and continuous program enhancements.
Conducts business process audits, publishes findings, makes recommendations, and manages corrective actions.
Teaches, trains, leads cross-functional teams, monitors, and otherwise impacts the processes, controls, tools and staff capabilities to ensure continuous improvement within the program.
As a senior team member, works with Program Management personnel to stimulate ideas, identify logistics and supply chain opportunities and sponsor and/or participate in operational process improvements.
Develops budgets, administers salaries, performance reviews, and other organizational development activities?
Ensures the timeliness and accuracy of all Inventory, Order, and related systems, processes, including reporting requirements?
Establishes a professional plant oversight organizational structure that ensures the tools, policies, performance standards/thresholds, etc. are understood, used, and proactively respond so that management can take timely preventative or corrective action.
Acts as the main point of escalation, interfaces with site management at every level, supports the plant operations with corrective actions, plans and resources when necessary and authorized.
Projects and monitors staffing needs at the plant based on projected volumes, labor standards, efficiencies, current staffing, turnover and employee availability.
Education and/or Experience Requirements
BA/BS in a related field. MBA and/or APICS certification a plus
10+ years of management experience in multiple supply chain disciplines
Strong Quality (ISO)/Lean/Six Sigma expertise (certification preferred)
Demonstrated success in leading supply chain transformation initiatives
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite including Access and Project Software
