We offer a suite of products that assess reading comprehension, writing skills, English language proficiency, and content area knowledge.
We have an opportunity for an Operations Manager at our office in Brewster, NY. This individual will provide leadership to a small Operations Team and will develop and execute processes and procedures for a new and expanding business opportunity within the organization. Responsibilities will include distribution, receiving, warehousing/inventory control, document processing and facilities management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise within area of responsibility; distribution/warehousing, document control and accounting, scanning/image processing and data quality control checks.
Supervise, schedule and train staff, assign duties and monitor the performance of all personnel.
Develop, establish and/or improve SOPs and PWIs and make recommendations for new/upgraded equipment to satisfy production and safety needs.
Set daily, weekly and monthly performance targets to meet schedule by forecasting temporary personnel requirements based on anticipated production rates.
Monitor inventory and conducts audits of supplies and materials for assigned area of responsibility to ensure cost effective use and minimize waste.
Negotiate purchases and track inventory.
Develop, analyze and present monthly reports on productivity and future forecasts.
Conduct coordination on planning and schedules with other departments and functional areas on cross-departmental issues/matters to ensure effectiveness and productivity.
Ensure quality and accuracy of all work by developing and implementing metrics and quality control procedures.
Monitors internal system production reports to assess progress of work and make adjustments as required to meet production goals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Operations Management, Business Management, IT or equivalent work experience required
5-10 years? experience in distribution/warehousing, document processing, image scanning or related production field preferred.
Experience developing workflow and capacity models

Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, manage changing priorities and work flexible hours to meet needs of time sensitive projects
