OPERATIONS MANAGER Remedi SeniorCare
This is a full time position within Remedi SeniorCare reporting directly to the General Manager. The Operations Manager will provide leadership and guidance to all of the value streams within the pharmacy. The role will also cover providing daily guidance to the functional and business support roles to include Maintenance, Quality Improvement, Pharmacists, Inventory, or other applicable functional role. The Operations Manager will work with the Pharmacy Leadership Team to implement Lean tools to drive operational excellence while staying focused on delivering an extraordinary customer experience.
Coordination and oversight of personnel associated with Paxit packaging/dispensing, inventory operations, Paxit maintenance, Bulk, IV, and Control drug fulfillment, staging and delivery functions
Coaches and provides technical expertise to resolve processing issues, and creates and ensures corrective actions are implemented
Responsible for creating a high morale in the workplace with the highest ethical standards.
Supervisory responsibility includes management of employee performance, hiring, discipline, development and recourse planning.
Acts as a member of the Pharmacy Leadership team and performs other duties as directed.
Insure the appropriate level of accountability for Pharmacy goals and objectives at the value stream, process leader, and team leader levels.
Plans and monitors capacity maximization for the pharmacy value streams.
Utilize problem solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, process control, and continuous process improvement tools to meet or exceed the Pharmacy key operating metrics.
Develops, monitors and implements departments budgets and forecasts.
Facilitate workflow management, workforce scheduling, and team members? placement to ensure the Pharmacy and company goals are successfully met or exceeded.
Develops, analyses, and presents monthly reports, including but not limited to, forecasts, productivity, quality, and safety.
Coordinate, lead, or implement the appropriate process audits; the audits will identify the need for the appropriate containment, corrective, and preventive actions, leading to minimizing or eliminating process deviations and non-conforming product root causes.
Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Foster an atmosphere of employee involvement and continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
Review methods and develop process/system strategies to meet company objectives for quality, cost, responsiveness and growth.
Build and maintain strong working relationships and open communications with the pharmacy operations leadership (site GM, Call center/OE, Billing, IT Support) as well as Remedi customers, and the Paxit integration team and account management team.
Drive customer satisfaction and service quality through every aspect of the Pharmacy operation.Blend needs of operations with needs and demands of customers.
Work with implementation team and account management to resolve problems during integration periods. Partner with account managers and Remedi customers to address individual problems as necessary on an ongoing basis.
Analyze equipment, software and process flow on an ongoing basis. In coordination with automation and integration personnel, provide recommendations for improved process efficiencies and optimization of equipment and software.
Work with appropriate engineering staff to insure efficient use of Electro Mechanics as well as proper maintenance of equipment to include the documentation of any mechanical or software issues that may need to be addressed.
Support KPI activities/metrics. Analyze accounting and financial drivers and lead the pharmacy management team on solutions that optimize financial results without negatively affecting customer satisfaction.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Education Needed To Do The Job:
BA in Business or Operations related field, or BA in Pharmacy, or equivalent operational experience
5 to 10 years? experience in Operations with demonstrated management experience
Knowledge of Operations Management and Pharmacy methods/systems
Lean, Six Sigma, TPS, or DMAIC experience is suggested
Strong project management skills
Experience with computer based Software Systems
Working knowledge of commercial automation/dispensing modalities and/or manufacturing processes/production operations. Ability to assess, hire and coordinate staff across multiple roles within the new location. Ability to effectively schedule, direct and lead an efficient production-oriented team; Proven experience implementing LEAN Manufacturing concepts; Demonstrated ability to understand/report on and make operational recommendations to affect financial metrics.
Communication style that is both influential and persuasive. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written with English as the primary language. Must have exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead, strong problem solving abilities, and a strong customer service focus.
Must be dependable with ability to be flexible, function independently and works under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines. Must have strong organizational, time management skills, ability to problem solve.
This position must exhibit maturity in judgment, will work under the supervision of the site GM and lead the Paxit Operators, Electro Mechanics, Staging, and Pharmacy Technicians.
Contact with Others:
High frequency of contact with employees and limited customer contact requires effective interpersonal skills exhibiting a pleasant out-going and caring attitude, the ability to interact positively with a professional attitude and demeanor. Must be willing to manager/coordinate a 24/7 operation to include evening and weekend shifts.
This position will be exposed to highly confidential information and data that disclosed would be against Federal and State HIPPA law and contrary to the company?s policies and to professional ethics.
This position requires the ability to exert up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally and/or lift, carry, push or move objects. Position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time during the work day.
Mental/ Visual Demands:
Flow of work requires normal mental and visual demands.
< 20% (more significant travel required during initial training, conversions at other sites and when there is a need for backup support at other sites as needed).
